His wife rachel smith understands the sacrifices they've both had to make.

Rachel smith:We string our money together, he hasn't worked for a long time, you know, he's put everything?Br>

Emma alberici:How hard has that been for the two of you?

Rachael smith:It is what it is.You know, this is the goal so you just do what you have to and so many people have helped us as well so my family and tate's family have been so supportive and all of our friends.He's going to get older and there won't be an opportunity to happen in the future so you have to do it now.

Emma alberici:The youngest member of australia's entire team in london knows about starting a career early.Brittany broben is just 16 and has already won an olympic medal silver in diving from the 10 metre platform.

Brittany broben:I definitely dreamt about it a lot, it's been ralph lauren italia outlet my dream since i was really little so to actually live it, it's just unbelievable.

Emma alberici:Brittany broben admits to having been so nervous she almost fell off the platform.She's only been diving for four years.She had been a gymnast but was forced to change disciplines after a foot injury.
